Staropramen Brewery is the second largest brewery in the Czech Republic, situated in the Smíchov district of Prague. It was founded in 1869 and the brand name Staropramen, literally meaning “old spring,” was registered in 1911.
Staropramen's Lager poured a deep golden color with little to no head. It smelled very skunky upon pouring it and left little lacing in the glass upon finishing. This lager was fairly bitter and had more of a dry flavor than the Tennent's.
